Join us as we welcome the incredible Paula G, the captivating Katina Moss, and the talented students of the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School to the festival stage. These artists will bring their words to life through performances that explore identity, community, and creativity, offering a truly unforgettable experience for all who attend.

When and Where

The poetry sessions will take place throughout the day during the Petersburg Book Fest on Saturday, September 13, 2025, inside the Black Box Theater at the Appomattox Regional Governor’s School in Petersburg, VA. And the best part? Every performance is completely free and open to the public.

Whether you’re a lifelong poetry lover or simply curious about the art form, these sessions are a perfect way to immerse yourself in the rhythm, imagery, and emotion of live performance.

Mark your calendar, bring a friend, and prepare to be inspired because this year’s Petersburg Book Fest is not just about books you read, but stories you hear, feel, and carry with you.
