Whether you’re discovering new authors, supporting a Black-owned bookstore, or enjoying local food, this festival is the perfect place to connect and be inspired.
Book Fest Mission
The mission of the Petersburg Book Fest is to cultivate literacy, nurture literary community, and promote artistic expression. The Petersburg Book Fest, through author engagements, fun activities, vendor access and community involvement, will deliver a bookish experience that will deliver a long lasting impact on literacy engagement to the 1,500 to 2,000 expected attendees from the local region and across the east coast.

The Petersburg Book Fest is in need of volunteers on Saturday, September 13, 2025. Don't just read about it, be a part of it! Share your love of reading, writing, or art while supporting the Petersburg community. Volunteers will be responsible for communicating event information, supporting event logistics, and answering general inquiries and assistance by event attendees.
